Eclipse is looking for a VP, Client Development to manage and grow Eclipse’s digital portfolio by providing highly qualified new client prospects for brand and/or entertainment clients, and successfully maintaining a sufficient pipeline, while closing opportunities within the pipeline.
The VP, Client Development is responsible for managing and growing Eclipse’s digital portfolio by providing highly qualified new client prospects for brand and/or entertainment clients, and successfully maintaining a sufficient pipeline, while closing opportunities within the pipeline.
This team member provides strong attention to detail, business development strategy and planning, consistent and accurate reporting on all new prospective client engagements, while collaborating with teams to prepare and deliver documents, presentations, etc. necessary to close opportunities.
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize targeted new business opportunities with entertainment and/or entertainment-adjacent brands for the digital department and execute the practices necessary to successfully close these opportunities
Work on new business pitches handed-off by internal teams, and execute the practices necessary to successfully close these opportunities
Meet annual, quarterly and monthly goals in coordination with the Eclipse business development strategy
Effectively negotiate contractual terms for new business, and ensures that Eclipse receives contracts in a timely manner
Provide pricing guidance and implement budgets, schedules, and estimates from client services
Provide weekly updates, revisions and modifications to your opportunities, and monthly reports on quota and goal measurements
Update CRM appropriately and frequently
Maintain a working knowledge of all services offered by Eclipse; with an emphasis on the digital division and its competitors in order to determine customer needs, volume potential, as well as competitive offerings and billing rates
Consistently demonstrate leadership and teamwork orientation by successfully leading local and remote cross-functional teams in high-pressure RFP or RFI responses and prospective client presentations
Stand accountable for delivering and presenting high-quality winning proposals, put together presentation decks for capabilities, proposals or pitches, incorporating content and estimates from discipline leads as needed (i.e: strategy, creative, marketing)
At the highest level of integrity and character, represent Eclipse at networking functions, trade shows, conferences and other industry-related events and/or evangelism opportunities
Work with Client Services to transition new business accounts to the Account Management team where appropriate
8+ years of proven business development experience in the advertising/content/marketing space managing complex clients and significant dollar transactions
Knowledgeable of market and industry trends, emerging technologies, competitors, and leading customer growth strategies
Deep knowledge and interest in the advertising across all media, including social, digital, content marketing, partnership and influencer marketing as well as 'traditional' channels"
Expert at generating new contacts, building and maintaining relationships; ability to develop and secure relationships with buyers, decision makers, influencers and other referral sources across a variety of industries
Strong written and verbal communication skills; including proposal development, ability to deliver convincing presentation and pitches
Proven consistent track record of delivering $1 million+ revenue per annum
